Brand Standards

In November, 2023, the Iowa Board of Regents unveils its new name, new logo and new brand standards. The name and logo represent a new, future-focused look for the Board of Regents’ brand. 

Following the departure of the Iowa School for the Deaf and Iowa Educational Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the Board of Regents has focused on delivering high-quality, higher education opportunities for Iowans. The new name and logo reflect the Board’s mission to produce and disseminate knowledge, prepare students to make positive contributions to society and to serve the state of Iowa to expand opportunities. 

Initial elements of the Board’s new brand include:

New Name: Formerly the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, the Board is simplifying its name for common usage to Iowa Board of Regents. 

New Logo: The Board’s new logo is fresh, simplified and easily recognizable. Prominently featuring the state of Iowa above, the new logo reflects the Board’s service to Iowa and its people. The tagline “Governing Iowa’s Public Universities” is concise and bold, continuing the course of higher education governance charted more than 100 years ago.
