Board of Regents Meeting Preview
The Board of Regents will meet October 19-20 at the University of Northern Iowa. The full meeting agenda is linked below.
As part of a multi-year budgeting plan, the Board will hear a first reading on 2017-18 tuition and fees. A 2% increase in the 2017-18 base resident undergraduate tuition rate with varying increases to nonresident and graduate tuition rates has been proposed. The Board will receive a full report on Fall 2016 enrollment numbers. The Fall 2016 headcount enrollment is 81,899 students compared to 80,132 students during Fall 2015, representing a 2.2% increase and an all-time high. The full report is linked below.
Also of note, Iowa State University will seek Board approval to name its newest residence hall "Gregory L. Geoffroy Hall" after its 14th president. The University of Iowa will seek Board approval to move forward with its plans to renovate portions of Kinnick Stadium.
