Board of Regents Announces Schedule for University of Iowa Presidential Search Open Forums and Selection

The Board of Regents, State of Iowa has announced the dates of the public forums involving the finalists to become the next president at the University of Iowa. The open forum schedule is as follows:

• Finalist 1: Monday, April 12, 3:30 p.m.
• Finalist 2: Thursday, April 15, 3:30 p.m.
• Finalist 3: Monday, April 19, 3:30 p.m.
• Finalist 4: Thursday, April 22, 3:30 p.m.

Due to COVID social distancing requirements, a limited number of people will be allowed to attend the open forums in person, but each forum will be live video streamed. Additional information on the public forums, including how to request tickets and how to submit a question, can be found here.

Live video streaming of each open forum will be available on the Board's YouTube channel.

The four finalists are scheduled for campus visits and meetings with various constituent groups on April 12-13, Apr. 15-16, Apr. 19-20, and Apr. 22-23.  The visit schedule is available here.

The name of each candidate will be announced 24 hours prior to their interview. At that time, the candidate’s curriculum vitae will also be made available online.

The Board of Regents plans to meet on April 29-30 at the University of Iowa to hear from the search committee and interview the finalists, with a selection of the next UI president made on April 30.
